Femi began his education at Ojota Community Primary School, earning his First School Leaving Certificate with commendable grades. He continued his academic journey at Ojota Secondary School between 1983 and 1989, where he excelled both academically and as a leader. As the school’s Head Boy, he graduated with an impressive record, exemplifying his diligence and determination.

Following his secondary education, Femi pursued his passion for agriculture at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAB). In 1997, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, marking a significant milestone in his academic and professional journey. During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year in Birnin Kebbi, he began to demonstrate the qualities of leadership, integrity, and compassion that would define his life.

After completing his NYSC, Femi began his professional career at Photo Tech Studios, where he rose to the position of Southwest Regional Manager. His dedication and outstanding work ethic made him a valuable asset to the organization. He later joined FCMB as a manager, continuing to make an indelible mark in every role he held.

Throughout his career and personal life, Femi was known for his unwavering commitment to excellence and his selfless nature. He was a natural leader, a compassionate friend, and a dedicated family man who consistently went out of his way to help others. His ability to foster relationships and promote harmony was unparalleled, and he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Tragically, Oluwafemi Adeniyi Daro passed away on February 7, 2007. Despite his untimely departure, his legacy endures as a testament to a life well-lived—dedicated to service, integrity, and the betterment of those around him.

His family, friends, and colleagues remember him with deep affection and gratitude. Femi's memory lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his impact will forever be cherished.

In recognition of his legacy and the profound impact he had on those around him, Femi's former classmates from Ojota Secondary School, the Magical 1988 Set Alumni, established the Femi Daro Memorial Awards in 2018. This initiative honours the school's best male and female students each year, celebrating academic excellence, leadership, and character—values Femi embodied throughout his life.

The awards have become a cherished tradition, inspiring students to strive for greatness while preserving the memory of a remarkable individual. The inaugural award, with a plaque and cash prize, went to Badmus Adeola and Shola Egbotan. The 2024 recipients are Okechukwu Wisdom and Elelu Fadilat.
